one man's treasure and where to find it
Shopping in the Bywater/Marigny area of New Orleans is indeed a unique experience. We have retro stores and stores like the retro king of New Orleans Brecoushe on Dauphine, or located just steps away on the corner, The Bargain Center.
This place has the most unusual itemsI have ever seen from antiques to art, retro, vintage, mardi gras. Come look, it's like a museum. To say this store has esoteric and unusual items is an understatement. Old architectural details, mexican imports and jsut plain stuff.
These stores are located by the Bywater Bar B Que. You can have lunch and shop and even pick up a video to watch later at Planet Zero across the street.
Dauphine is the shopping street and home of the best garage sales ever. It takes place regularly and has retro and antique items.
