Music is in the air here in Bywater/Marigny. I often hear musicians practicing. I attend parties where I am privileged to hear them play.

And there is music in the sound of the river, the calliope, the fog horn, and the river boats.music in the soulful sound of the trains. There is music in the sound of reveille from the defense center down the street  and in their cadence as they jog through the Bywater.

After all, Louis Armstrong got started playing reveille in a boys home.

There is music in  the the sound of the fruit truck man,  "I got merlitons-I have apples-I have nice cabbage-I have pears."

He always stops in front of my house. I joke about how I have to stay on the books as I select my fruits and vegtables, reminising about the movie King Creole. There's scene with the fruit wagon, and Elvis Presley watching from a French Quarter balcony. If you like music you came to the right place.
